#3: Plan an evacuation route. Before the flood hits, take cover at a friends or family member’s home who are not getting affected by the flood.
#4: Have flood insurance. NJ residents know that having flood insurance is important because it will cover damage costs and losses due to the flood.
#5: Avoid driving. If you do not need to drive, do not! Your car could suffer damage or worse, be picked up and washed away.
#6: Take patio items indoors. If you have time, take in all your furniture or any valuables from outdoors.
